When the new miniseries will premiere and what it will be like
The sequel will have four half-hour episodes. Its premiere is scheduled for April 10, 2026.
In the United States it will be available on Hulu and also within the Hulu hub on Disney+. In countries where Hulu doesn't operate, the release will arrive directly on Disney+.
A perfect excuse to return to family chaos
The story begins with Malcolm already an adult, who has been away from his family for years. However, Hal and Lois force him to return to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary.
What seems like a brief visit turns, as always, into a disaster. The trailer makes it clear that the passage of time has not brought maturity. The novelty is that Malcolm arrives accompanied by his partner Tristan and his daughter Leah, adding a generational clash.
The original cast and an absence that will get people talking
In addition to Muniz, Cranston, and Kaczmarek, Christopher Masterson (Francis), Justin Berfield (Reese), and Emy Coligado (Piama) return. The most notable absence is Dewey. The character will not be played by Erik Per Sullivan, but by Caleb Ellsworth-Clark.
