The government of President Donald Trump doesn't rule out launching military attacks inside Venezuela against targets of Nicolás Maduro's communist regime while his naval campaign against drug cartels continues.
This is the information that a White House official provided to the outlet Semafor. "If Venezuela is sending drug cartels to the United States by land or by sea, he will consider taking action on it," the official added, referring to Trump, who earlier this week hinted that he was going to take new actions against members of the cartel led by Maduro.
Trump stated a few days ago that thanks to the attacks he ordered against drug trafficking vessels off the Venezuelan coast, drugs are not entering American soil by sea. Currently, the U.S. has destroyers, F-35s, and more than 4,000 men deployed in the Caribbean Sea.

Meanwhile, more and more reports indicate that a U.S. attack on the heart of the Maduro regime is imminent, the narco-chavista dictatorship raised alarms again this Thursday after denouncing the overflight of five F-35 fighter jets over its airspace.
In a speech with an openly confrontational tone, Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino López claimed that the Venezuelan air defense system identified "flight vectors" compatible with F-35 fighter aircraft. According to his words, this kind of movement is an attempt by "imperialism" to intimidate Venezuela.
In response to this move, Maduro, in a new attempt to cling to power under the pretext of an external conflict, announced that he will activate a national mobilization and expand presidential powers through a "state of external commotion" decree that will allow him to militarize public agencies and close the borders.
This morning, Trump formally declared to Congress that the United States is in an "armed conflict" against the drug cartels that his administration has already designated as terrorist organizations. Among these terrorist groups, the Cartel of the Suns stands out, which is commanded by Maduro and other high-ranking Chavista officials.
