The president rejected a joke by host Trevor Noah, denied any link to Epstein's island, and denounced a defamatory operation from the entertainment world
The president of the United States, Donald Trump harshly criticized the latest edition of the Grammy Awards and demanded that host Trevor Noah retract statements that he considered false and defamatory about his alleged connection with Jeffrey Epstein's island.
Through a message posted on his social network Truth Social, Trump described the ceremony as "the worst, practically impossible to watch" and targeted CBS, stating that it "is lucky that this garbage no longer floods its airwaves."
Noah's "joke" and Trump's response
The presidential reaction came after Trevor Noah made an ironic remark during the gala, hinting at a relationship between Trump, Bill Clinton, and Epstein's island. Trump categorically denied that claim.
"I can't speak for Bill, but I have never been to Epstein's island, not even close," the president stated. He also emphasized that up to that moment "I had never been accused of being there, not even by the fake news media."

Trump demanded a public retraction and described the remark as a "false and defamatory" statement, pointing out that it is a serious accusation without any basis.
Legal warning and defamation claim
In the same message, Trump indicated in advance that he is considering taking legal action against Noah and against the network that broadcast the event. "It looks like I'm going to send my lawyers to sue this poor, pathetic, untalented, and dumb host, and also CBS," he wrote.
The president maintained that this type of attack is part of a repeated strategy by sectors of entertainment and the media to establish false narratives for political purposes, especially when they involve sensitive issues.
A show marked by political activism
The Grammy gala was also marked by explicit protests against the White House's immigration policy by artists such as Bad Bunny and Billie Eilish, which reinforced Trump's interpretation of the event as an ideological platform.

During his monologue, Noah even made ironic comments about the current dispute over Greenland's sovereignty, forcibly linking it to Epstein and Bill Clinton, in a comparison that was interpreted as a political provocation rather than humor.
The context of the Epstein case and the key differences
The episode comes after the publication of millions of new documents related to the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein. In that context, Trump once again highlighted a central difference: Bill Clinton acknowledged having traveled on Epstein's plane on several occasions, something that Trump has repeatedly denied.
Clinton keeps that those trips were related to activities of his foundation and denies having been on the island or having knowledge of the crimes. However, Trump himself stressed that he has never been accused of having been there, not even by hostile media.
