Trump sent a strong message to Hamas, warning them of serious consequences.
Through the social network Truth Social, the President of the United States urged the terrorist group one last time to release all the hostages.
President Donald Trump issued what he called a "final warning" to Hamas on Wednesday to release all remaining hostages held in Gaza.
Trump, through his platform Truth Social, sent a strong message after the White House confirmed that it had sent a delegate to conduct unprecedented direct negotiations with the activist group.
In his statement, Trump asserted that he was sending Israel everything necessary to "finish the job," referring to the offensive in Gaza.
Trump expressed his demand in a decisive tone, saying: "Release all the hostages now, not later, and immediately return the bodies of the people you murdered, or it's over for you.

Only sick and twisted people hold bodies, and you are sick and twisted!" This language came after confirmation that U.S. officials had held direct talks with Hamas, breaking a longstanding policy of not negotiating with the group, as the urgency of the situation requires it.
These talks, which took place in Qatar's capital, Doha, are the first known between the United States and Hamas since the organization was given this designation.
In a press conference, White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt declined to provide details on the content of the talks but reiterated that Trump had authorized his envoys to act assertively.
Leavitt also indicated that Israel was consulted about this direct contact and emphasized that there were "American lives at stake."

Regarding the hostage situation, it is estimated that Hamas still holds about 24 live hostages, including Edan Alexander, a U.S. citizen, as well as the bodies of at least 35 people.
Adam Boehler, nominated by Trump as special envoy for hostage affairs, participated in the direct negotiations with Hamas, which focused primarily on the release of American hostages and a possible conclusion to the war without Hamas's presence in Gaza.
According to a Hamas official who spoke anonymously, no significant progress was made, although the interaction was seen as a promising sign.
These talks occur in the context of a fragile truce between Israel and Hamas, whose future remains uncertain. Trump has shown no intention of pressuring Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to step away from the fight if Hamas doesn't accept the terms of a new ceasefire proposal.

This proposal, crafted by U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff, would involve Hamas releasing half of the remaining hostages in exchange for an extension of the ceasefire and a promise to negotiate a lasting agreement.
Israel did not mention in the proposal the release of more Palestinian prisoners, which had been a component of the first agreement.
On Wednesday, Trump received eight former hostages at the White House, who thanked the president for his efforts to secure the return of the prisoners.

In his Truth Social post, Trump reiterated his message to Hamas, warning that it was their "last chance" to release the hostages and return the bodies of the victims, with the warning of devastating retaliation if they do not comply.
The President of the United States urged Hamas members to make a smart decision before it's too late for them. The terrorist group's willingness to cooperate with the release of hostages or be directly responsible for the consequences that follow will be vital.
