Trump warns that the U.S. is 'ready to act' if Iran suppresses protests with violence

The president of the United States, Donald Trump, warned that his country could intervene if Iran's regime violently represses the demonstrators. The protests continue to unfold in different cities of the country. The statement marks a clear rhetorical escalation amid a scenario of growing social, economic, and political tension in Tehran.
