Trump will decide whether the US will enter the war against Iran in the next two weeks.

Trump's spokesperson, Karoline Leavitt, was responsible for delivering the news at a press conference

President Donald Trump announced that in two weeks he will decide whether the United States will intervene militarily in the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran. The wait is based on what he described as a "substantial possibility" of resuming diplomatic negotiations with the Iranian terrorist regime.

Trump's spokesperson, Karoline Leavitt, was responsible for delivering the message at a press conference. "Based on the fact that there is a substantial probability that negotiations with Iran will take place in the near future, I will make my decision on whether I will go or not in the next two weeks," Leavitt said, quoting the American president.

The statement seeks to ease tensions in an international scenario that, in recent days, has remained on high alert following a series of cross-attacks between Israel and Iran.

The deployment in the Middle East

While Trump is striving to use the diplomatic route, the Pentagon has initiated a series of military movements in the Middle East that indicate active preparation for a possible United States intervention against Iran.

It has been confirmed that the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz has been deployed to the Persian Gulf, joining the strike group led by USS Carl Vinson, already present in the eastern Mediterranean waters. USS Gerald R. Ford, the most modern aircraft carrier in the American Navy, is expected to join in the coming days.

In addition, squadrons of F-16, F-22, and F-35 fighter jets have been sent to key bases in Kuwait, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. More than 30 KC-135 and KC-46 tanker aircraft have been mobilized to bases in Europe and the Middle East to support long-range operations.

Meanwhile, Arleigh Burke-class destroyers equipped with Aegis missile defense systems, such as USS The Sullivans and USS Gravely, have been strategically positioned to protect allies and United States assets in the region.

Despite the diplomatic tone of the message, the Trump administration sent a clear signal: the United States is ready to intervene if negotiations fail or if American citizens are threatened. This military deployment also serves as a form of pressure for Iran to agree to sit down for talks.
