Tulsi Gabbard revoked the security clearances of 37 Democratic officials
The chief of the United States government's spies announced the termination of the authorizations of several officials who had worked for Obama and Biden
This Tuesday, August 19, the Director of National Intelligence (DNI), Tulsi Gabbard, announced the immediate revocation of security clearances for 37 current and former government officials.
The measure was taken under the direction of President Donald Trump and targets individuals linked to agencies such as the CIA, NSA, the Department of State, and the National Security Council.
Gabbard stated that these officials politicized or manipulated intelligence for their own benefit, compromising constitutional principles and the public interest. With these actions, their access to classified systems, facilities, materials, and information was immediately cut off, and the surrender of credentials and termination of any active contracts were ordered.

Among the most prominent names on the list are:
- Brett M. Holmgren, former Deputy Secretary of State for Intelligence and Research.
- Richard H. Ledgett, former Deputy Director of the NSA.
- Stephanie O’Sullivan, former Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence.
- Luke R. Hartig, former Senior Director for Counterterrorism at the National Security Council.
- Yael Eisenstat, former CIA officer and White House advisor on electoral integrity issues.
Among those whose credentials were revoked is also the former Chief of Intelligence under Obama, James Clapper, who participated in RussiaGate, the intelligence operation that was used to spy on Trump’s campaign in the 2016 elections, accusing him of conspiring with the Russian government.

Biden’s and Obama’s spies could be indicted.
According to Gabbard, "being in possession of a security clearance is a privilege, not a right." Trump’s chief of spies maintained that anyone who betrays their oath to the Constitution and puts their interests above those of Americans breaks the "sacred commitment" undertaken when assuming that position.
The action is part of a broader campaign by Trump’s administration to purge security officials from the Obama era and from the government who have distorted or politically used intelligence in recent years.
Amid this renewal, it was announced a few days ago that the Department of Justice is considering bringing charges against these intelligence officers who worked for Obama and Biden and did so with a clear objective: to harm Donald Trump’s administration.
