Steam Machine: the "consolized PC" returns
Valve is reviving the Steam Machine brand with a single compact model designed for television. They promise more than six times the power of the Steam Deck and full compatibility with the Steam library.
The device uses SteamOS and, since it is a PC, allows users to install Windows or another system. It features a semi-custom AMD Ryzen chip with 6 cores and 12 threads (up to 4.8 GHz), an RDNA 3 GPU with 28 CUs and 8 GB of VRAM.
It includes 16 GB of DDR5 RAM, NVMe SSD storage of 512 GB or 2 TB, microSD slot, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI, and five USB ports.
Steam Frame: hybrid VR
The Steam Frame headset aims to be lighter and more practical than previous generations: it weighs just 440 grams (0.97 pounds) and works both autonomously and when connected via streaming to a PC.
It includes a 6 GHz wireless adapter with a dual receiver to separate audiovisual and network signals, ensuring stability. It also adds foveated streaming, which improves sharpness in the area where the user is looking.
