Vignolo set a sales record at Racing and is waiting to make his debut in Ligue 1.
The young forward from Córdoba was transferred to Toulouse in the highest-value deal in the club's history
In a matter of days, Julián Vignolo went from playing a match in Primera Nacional to being drafted in France's Ligue 1. The player from Arroyito traveled to France after facing Quilmes in Nueva Italia. His first draft was in Toulouse's 2-0 victory over Brest, although he did not take the field.
The official debut could come in the next matchday against PSG, current Champions League titleholder. The match is scheduled for this Saturday at 16:00 in France. If it happens, Vignolo would have a unique opportunity to play against internationally renowned players.
The transfer was closed at 1,750,000 dollars, the most valuable transfer in Racing de Nueva Italia's history. For the sale of the forward, the Córdoba club will receive 815,000 dollars directly. In addition, the club retained 20% of the player's rights for future market operations.

A transfer that ends a 36-year streak without international sales
The significance of the transfer lies not only in the amounts but also in its historical context. Racing had gone 36 years without exporting players from its youth academy. The last precedent was Víctor Sotomayor's move to Hellas Verona for 200,000 dollars.
In this context, president Manuel Pérez recalled other significant deals. "Perhaps the most relevant of all was Roberto Gasparini's move to Rosario Central," the executive stated. In that transfer, Racing received 300,000 dollars and three players as part of the agreement.
The review includes Víctor "el Gallo" Ferreyra and Luis Antonio Amuchástegui, who went to San Lorenzo for amounts close to 150,000 dollars. During that period, Fernando Miele also appeared, future blaugrana president, as a driving force behind those deals.

Vignolo joins a ranking alongside Lamela, Dybala, and Buonanotte
With this sale, Vignolo entered the list of the most expensive transfers from Primera Nacional to Europe. According to Transfermarkt, the deal ranks ninth with 1.5 million net for Racing.
The list is headed by Erik Lamela, transferred from River to Roma for 17 million euros. Paulo Dybala is also included, sold from Instituto to Palermo for 11.9 million, and Diego Buonanotte, from River to Málaga for 4.5 million.
That group of transfers includes Bolatti and Rinaudo with amounts exceeding two million. Now Vignolo is also included, with the most important sale in Racing's history and the anticipation of his European debut.
