PSG achieved the annulment of the €55 million embargo claimed by Kylian Mbappé.
The French justice system agreed to lift the precautionary embargo that had been requested by the lawyers of the current Real Madrid player
This Monday, the Paris Sentence Enforcement Court decided to lift the precautionary seizure of 55 million euros that Kylian Mbappé had requested against Paris Saint-Germain last April. The order had initially been issued by a court following the formal request of the current Real Madrid player's representatives, who demanded full payment of the claimed amount.

A month ago, Mbappé's lawyers reported that they would exhaust all legal avenues—criminal, civil, and labor—to claim the multimillion-euro amount from PSG, in terms of unpaid salaries and bonusescorresponding to his last season at the French club.
As a first step, they requested the preventive seizure of that sum in the Parisian club's accounts. Finally, this Monday, the court ruled in favor of the Parisians, nullifying that measure.
In this context, unless there is an approach between the parties—something that today seems unlikely after the latest episodes—everything indicates that the dispute will be solved in ordinary courts, more precisely in the Conseil de Prud’Hommes, which is responsible for handling labor disputes.

Meanwhile, the sports authorities have declared that they do not have jurisdiction to issue a final ruling, although several LFP commissions ruled in favor of the forward.
The Champions League finalist, however, decided not to comply with those rulings, considering that the commissions were not authorized to make a decision. Instead, the club filed different appeals and referred the case to ordinary courts.
The club's defense argues that Mbappé had committed, through a verbal agreement with Al Khelaïfi, in August 2023, to forgive the 55 million if he ultimately did not renew his contract in 2024, which ended up happening.

From the forward's camp, they assert that this alleged agreement is not valid since it was not agreed upon in writing, and they also appealed to UEFA to sanction PSG by preventing the club from participating in the Champions League, based on a specific article of the regulations.
