The Fort surname once again occupied a central place on the media agenda, although this time far from the eccentricities and the show that once surrounded Ricardo Fort. The focus is now on John Fort, one of his nephews, who in recent weeks has publicly reported a conflict with his uncle Eduardo Fort, the current president of the family company, and has claimed his right to be part of the historic business.
John Fort is the son of Jorge Fort, Ricardo's brother, and therefore the cousin of Marta and Felipe Fort, the children of the media-famous businessman. Although he belongs to one of the country's most traditional families, his public profile differs notably from the one his uncle Ricardo built. Far from ostentatious luxury and constant exposure, John has chosen a more private life focused on professional development.
John Fort lives between Argentina and Miami, a city where he consolidated much of his academic training. He holds a degree in Business Administration, has an MBA, and has accumulated work experience abroad, a path that, as he himself explained in various interviews, was intended to prepare him to bring value to the family business from a modern and professional perspective.

On social media, meanwhile, he usually presents himself as connected to the world of fitness, wellness, and healthy living. He shares training routines, nutrition tips, and motivational messages, a profile that contrasts with the media image historically associated with the Fort surname. "My thing is fitness", he once said on television, distancing himself from the lifestyle that made Ricardo famous.
He sought to join the family company, not in an executive role, but with the idea of collaborating in commercial areas and international expansion. He even stated that he had traveled to Germany to train in chocolate making, convinced that his professional future was tied to the business his grandfather built and that marked generations of the family.
However, that goal was frustrated. In recent weeks, John has been at the center of the scene for publicly denouncing his uncle Eduardo Fort, whom he accused of preventing his return to the factory and of having sent him a dismissal telegram when he tried to rejoin. According to his account, the same situation has allegedly affected his brother Thomas Fort.
"The claim is not economic," he has clarified on more than one occasion. "It has to do with the legacy," he has insisted, while maintaining that his intention was to contribute the knowledge he acquired abroad to help the company grow. In that context, he has denounced a strong internal climate of tension and has accused his uncle of wanting to keep total control of the business.
