Who is Luis Pierrini, the new Secretary of Transportation who replaced Mogetta?
With his appointment to the Department of Transportation, they aim to continue with modernization and efficiency policies
The Government of Javier Milei confirmed that Luis Pierrini will be the new Secretary of Transportation of the Nation, replacing Franco Mogetta, who resigned to be a candidate for La Libertad Avanza in the upcoming elections.
With Pierrini's appointment, the aim is to deepen the reorganization of the sector and advance in modernization and efficiency policies. His assumption is scheduled for the coming days, once the administrative transition is completed.
Pierrini is a businessman with a distinguished career in the insurance sector, with a strong federal imprint and deep knowledge of the national economic framework. He is currently the president and general manager of Triunfo Seguros, an Argentine company based in Mendoza, founded by his father in 1967.

Since he took over the company's leadership at the end of 2004, the firm has grown steadily, employing more than 650 people directly and working with a network of over 3,000 associated producers throughout the country.
With a strong presence in provinces like Mendoza, San Juan, San Luis, and in full expansion toward other regions like Neuquén and the City of Buenos Aires, Triunfo Seguros has maintained a cooperative profile and an active commitment to regional development. Under his leadership, the company has also positioned itself as a sponsor of national sports figures, such as the Argentine Field Hockey Team, Las Leonas.
In addition to his role in the private sector, Pierrini held relevant positions in insurance entities, such as Reaseguradores Argentinos, and has been part of the International Cooperative and Mutual Insurance Federation (ICMIF), where he represented Argentina in international forums.

His comprehensive view of economic development and his management capacity will be key in a Secretariat that oversees decisions on air, land, and maritime transportation, tariffs, and subsidies.
Recently, he also ventured into the media field, becoming a shareholder in the historic newspaper La Capital de Rosario, which reinforces his connection with the country's regional reality.
With his arrival in the cabinet, Milei's Government bets on a figure with a technical profile, knowledge of the interior, and experience in leading large structures.
