The Government highlighted Mogetta's full commitment to modernization and transparency objectives
The Government of Javier Milei confirmed that Franco Mogetta submitted his resignation as Secretary of National Transportation to run as a candidate for La Libertad Avanza. The decision, as officially reported, was consensual and responds to the need to strengthen the space from a new position.
During his tenure at the Secretariat, Mogetta played a key role in reorganizing a critical area for the country's functioning. Inheriting from Kirchnerism a heavily disordered structure with serious management problems, the former official managed to solve and prioritize, focusing on operational efficiency, reducing unnecessary expenses, and strengthening services.

Mogetta's management took place in an especially complex context, marked by budgetary constraints and the need to undertake structural reforms in public passenger and freight transportation. Despite this, his work was recognized both within the Cabinet and by private sector leaders for his technical ability and political commitment.
President Javier Milei and the Minister of Economy, Luis "Toto" Caputo, publicly expressed their gratitude for Mogetta's work, highlighting his "valuable contribution in a particularly challenging stage" and his "full commitment to the Government's modernization and transparency objectives."
In his place, Luis Pierrini was appointed, who will take over the Secretariat of Transportation in the coming days. Pierrini will be responsible for continuing the second stage of planned reforms in the area, under the general guidelines promoted by President Milei.

According to official sources, the aim is to ensure an orderly transition that allows the continuation of ongoing programs without affecting the sector's operational functioning.
"I clarify that Franco has done a GREAT job and continues to be part of the team. He leaves his position because he is likely to be a candidate for La Libertad Avanza in the upcoming elections," stated Luis Caputo on his X account, who added in another post: "His work was crucial in reorganizing the sector's functioning, prioritizing efficiency."
The transfer will be effective in the coming days, and from the Casa Rosada, it was assured that the change will not alter the outlined course but will consolidate it in a new stage of the State's transformation process.
