With a record attendance and a marked presence of national government officials, the 42nd Annual Congress of the Argentine Institute of Finance Executives (IAEF) once again positioned itself as one of the most influential events on the Argentine economic and political calendar.
More than 2,500 attendees, 150 accredited media outlets, and the participation of important figures from the public and private sectors consolidated the event as a key forum for discussing the country's economic direction.
In this edition, held under the theme "Transforming Argentina: from economic change to sustained development," La Derecha Diario was able to obtain exclusive testimonies from the Minister of Deregulation, Federico Sturzenegger; the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Martín Menem; the Governor of Chubut, Ignacio "Nacho" Torres; and the economist Claudio Zuchovicki, among others.
Sturzenegger: "It's a unique opportunity for Argentina"
The Minister of Deregulation, Federico Sturzenegger, praised the event's framework and highlighted President Javier Milei's leadership in advancing reforms that for decades were considered untouchable: "Javier looks at them and says to me, what is this? He tells me, that's it, you're not going to sleep without getting rid of this," Sturzenegger recounted, referring to the presidential push to eliminate obsolete regulations.
The minister also firmly supported Manuel Adorni's candidacy in Buenos Aires City: "Argentina is debating between two models. Kirchnerism, which is adjustment and death, and La Libertad Avanza, which is institutional, liberal, and prosperous."
Martín Menem: support for Adorni and defense of cutting the state advertising
The head of the Deputies also defended the official model and valued Karina Milei's leadership: "Political leadership belongs exclusively to Karina. We all work under her decisions."
