Mendoza closed the XL weekend with a highly positive balance. With a provincial occupancy rate averaging 82%, the province surpassed the records of the same period in 2023, which had also included four days of rest. This increase of 7 percentage points confirms the upward trend that the province has been showing throughout the spring.
Tourist activity benefited from the holiday moved from National Sovereignty Day, along with the schedule of extra-long weekends established by Law 27.399, which promotes domestic tourism. According to national reports, Mendoza once again ranked among the most popular destinations in the country, largely thanks to its Manso promotions and its ideal weather conditions.
The total number of visitors—including those who stayed in private homes—exceeded 67,000 people, consolidating one of the best weekends of the year.
Most in-demand areas and regional performance
The Metropolitan Area led occupancy with 87%, followed by San Rafael with 90%, one of the main drivers of school and group tourism. The rest of the regions remained between 65% and 75%, driven by cultural, wine tourism, and recreational activities.

The president of Emetur, Gabriela Testa, emphasized that the growth is not isolated: "This spring has been showing sustained activity, both from MICE tourism and group travel. San Rafael has strongly consolidated itself in the school segment," she stated.
Connectivity, promotion, and joint effort: the keys to success
Testa also highlighted the importance of air and land connectivity, along with public-private collaboration to position Mendoza at trade fairs, business rounds, and in specialized media.
The provincial advertising campaign and the private sector's participation in Manso Alojamiento promotions, Manso Menú, and Mansa Bodega were decisive in expanding demand. These accessible proposals remain one of the main attractions for both domestic and international travelers.
An economic impact that strengthens the province
The XL weekend caused an estimated income of more than $18,000 million, considering an average stay of three days and a daily expenditure of $89,000 per person. This economic flow directly benefits tourism providers, businesses, wineries, restaurants, and ventures linked to cultural and recreational tourism.
Buenos Aires, CABA, Córdoba, Santa Fe, and neighboring provinces led the flow of visitors, along with international tourists who are already in Mendoza for various reasons.
Domestic tourism also played a key role, driven by the provincial agenda and by the high season of family events before the end of the year.
