Marcelo Tinelli is going through a particularly delicate stage. In addition to the family conflicts that have come to light in recent days—after the threats received by his daughter Juana Tinelli—, there are also work-related problems that cast doubt on his immediate future as head of Carnaval Stream, the digital channel he founded this year as his new media project.
The host hasn't appeared on screen since the family conflict erupted, which has raised alarms within the production company. In his place, José María Listorti has taken over the show Estamos de Paso, the channel's main program.
Although the production company claims that this is a "temporary" absence, Yanina Latorre revealed new details suggesting that the situation might be more complex than what is being said publicly. "He's very sad, it's not because of the debts or the threats", she pointed out.
On LAM (América TV), the panelist said that she had a direct conversation with Tinelli in which the host spoke to her about his emotional state.
"I spoke with Marcelo. He's very sad, it's not because of the debts or the threats, but because of the family problem", Latorre stated, referring to the conflict facing the Tinelli clan after the threats reported by his daughter Juana.
Additionally, the journalist hinted that Tinelli's work situation could become complicated: "Yesterday he was supposed to go to Carnaval, it was announced, I spoke with Sabrina Rojas, she told me 'we're all called, technically Marcelo is going.' I sent the reporter and Listorti showed up", she emphasized.
Marcelo Tinelli estaría muy afectado por las peleas familiares que se generaron
According to her explanation, Listorti replaced Tinelli for the second consecutive time, but this time, the production decided to pay him a fixed fee, which for Latorre "marks a change in the channel's dynamic."
"This makes me think that, for me, Marcelo won't appear anymore", she said, suggesting that the host might be considering stepping away from the project.
Rumors of internal crisis at Carnaval Stream
The channel, which was launched with the ambition of competing with streaming platforms like Olga and Luzu TV, is going through a period of uncertainty. In recent months, there have been reports of financial problems, payment delays, and a drop in metrics, which may have caused tensions within the team.
Although Tinelli himself denied being disconnected from the production company, his continued absence fuels speculation that he may be distancing himself from the project.
"We'll have to see if he comes back. On Wednesday's broadcast, he's expected to be on camera, but no one is confirming it", Latorre added, implying that his return is still not guaranteed.
"It's not an economic or work-related issue that's affecting him, it's the family. He's hurt, it's obvious", Latorre reiterated on the show.
What is expected in the coming days?
Although there is no official statement, those close to Tinelli claim that he plans to return to hosting in the coming days and resume his work commitments at Carnaval Stream. However, not everyone on the team shares that optimism.
Meanwhile, José María Listorti will continue to lead the program, at least until the situation stabilizes.
