YouTube unveils the largest AI update for content creators

YouTube introduced Made on YouTube tools based on artificial intelligence that aim to transform the way creators produce videos, Shorts, and podcasts.

This update is the most ambitious the platform has launched so far and seeks to make both editing and the strategy behind each publication easier.

AI applied to video creation

The company announced features such as background music generators, image creation, and editing with generative AI. The goal is for creators to reach new audiences with less effort on technical tasks.

Additionally, A/B testing is being incorporated to measure the impact of different titles and thumbnails, something that is key for many influencers in a video's performance.

Ask Studio: a virtual creative partner

One of the most notable new features is Ask Studio. This is a chatbot that helps interpret channel data, summarize comments, and highlight the most engaging moments of each video.

Amjad Hanif, YouTube's vice president of product, described it as a "creative partner" capable of answering strategic questions about the audience.

AI for Shorts as well

Shorts now include the Veo 3 Fast version, which allows 480p videos to be caused with AI for quick remixes. It will even be possible to turn lines of dialogue into songs with the Speech to Song feature.

These features will arrive first in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, and will later expand to more countries.

Tools for podcasts

YouTube also announced that podcasts can be automatically converted into Shorts. In the future, it will be possible to turn audio into video thanks to AI, expanding the reach of creators who work only with sound.
