President Noboa refuses to receive deportees of other nationalities
The decision responds to the controversy between the United States and Venezuela following the revocation of licenses to Chevron.
President Daniel Noboa was emphatic in declaring that Ecuador will not receive deported migrants of other nationalities, in response to the recent controversy between the United States and Venezuela following the revocation of Chevron's operating license.
Noboa's reaction came after Nicolás Maduro questioned the continuation of flights to receive Venezuelans deported from the United States. Maduro described this situation as a "problem" caused by the United States' decision, which has affected communications to repatriate its citizens.
The Ecuadorian president firmly criticized this stance and assured that authoritarian and extremist regimes act without empathy, disregarding the fate of those fleeing the crises they themselves caused. He also pointed out that Maduro's allies in Ecuador " will remain silent" and will minimize the impact of the decision.

In his statement, Noboa reiterated that his Government will focus on protecting Ecuadorian migrants. "Deported Ecuadorians will have the support of the State at every step, because here we don't abandon our people," emphasized the President.
The Government of Ecuador has reinforced its commitment to support returned national migrants, ensuring their well-being amid the geopolitical tensions affecting the region.
President Noboa's stance reflects his firm commitment to defending Ecuadorians and his rejection of policies that affect national sovereignty. His declaration marks a clear position in the face of international tensions, prioritizing the well-being of the country's citizens.
