Daniel Noboa denounced politicians who support organized crime
The president assured that he will show evidence about officials who seek to destabilize his government.
President Daniel Noboa denounced on Monday the actions of "certain politicians" in Ecuador who, according to him, collaborate with organized crime to damage the image of his government and influence the upcoming elections.
During an interview on City radio, Noboa stated that it is essential "to unmask the support of certain politicians for crime" and assured that in the coming weeks he will show evidence of elected officials who have allegedly collaborated with criminal organizations. "They increase the deaths in a place on purpose so that later they blame the Government and try to distort the outcome of an election," the president affirmed.
Although Noboa has not yet revealed the names of the officials involved or the specific areas where they would operate, he emphasized the need to act firmly to protect the country's security.

The president also reiterated the importance of international collaboration to strengthen security in the areas most affected by violence, such as Nueva Prosperina, the recent scene of a massacre that left 22 dead.
Other places that will receive support from international special forces would be Durán, Puerto Bolívar, El Florón, Chone, El Carmen, and San Lorenzo. "We are organizing a plan with the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Defense, and the Armed Forces for this international assistance," Noboa detailed.
These actions aim to strengthen the State's presence in critical areas and ensure the safety of citizens in the face of the advance of organized crime.
The president's decision reflects his commitment to national security and his willingness to confront the threats that attempt to undermine the country's stability.
