Violence against men in the State of Mexico has been increasing, according to recent data from the foundation "¿Y los hombres qué?". Despite its severity, few victims report it due to the lack of adequate mechanisms and social stigma.

Research reveals that homicides, injuries, and psychological assaults against men have increased in recent years. In 2024 alone, more than 10,000 reports of male gender violence were filed in Edomex.
One of the biggest problems is that men rarely report the violence they suffer. Many victims fear being ridiculed or ignored by the authorities.

30% of violence cases against men in the State of Mexico occur within the home. Often, the assaults are psychological or physical and are exacerbated by the lack of institutional support.
Alarming figures of homicides and psychological violence
The State of Mexico leads the statistics of male homicides nationwide. In 2024, more than 3,500 murders were recorded, surpassing entities like Guanajuato and Michoacán.
Additionally, aggression toward men is not only physical; psychological abuse, workplace harassment, and humiliation in family or work environments severely affect their well-being.
