Minister De La Gasca defended dollarization and proposed a new constitution.

During his visit to Napo, the official thanked the Amazonian support and reaffirmed the Government's economic direction

The Minister of Government, José De La Gasca, visited the province of Napo on April 3, where he thanked the Amazonian communities for their support of the national political project. In an interview with Radio Arcoíris 10, he highlighted the region's importance for social dialogue and the construction of the "new Ecuador."

De La Gasca emphasized that the Amazon represents an essential axis in the inclusion agenda promoted by the Government. He noted that indigenous bases have been protagonists in conversations about structural transformations, and he recognized their collective memory in the face of decades of social exclusion.

The official also addressed economic issues, firmly rejecting proposals like the "ecuadollar." He assured that these ideas put the country's financial stability at risk and threaten the economic security of citizens. In contrast, he stated that dollarization has been key to progress and social cohesion in Ecuador.

In the interview, the minister highlighted international support for the current Government, referring to President Daniel Noboa's visit to Donald Trump. He mentioned that the strategic relationship with the United States focuses on trade, migration, and security issues, which strengthens the country's international positioning.

Finally, De La Gasca stated that it is time to promote a new Constitution. As he explained, this project seeks to overcome the limitations inherited from past structures and move responsibly toward a more modern and just institutional system. He assured that the construction of this legal framework must involve all sectors of society.

The minister's visit to the Amazon reinforced the Government's commitment to territorial dialogue, the defense of dollarization, and the vision of a renewed Ecuador. Faced with populist proposals that threaten to destabilize the country, the ruling party reaffirms its commitment to stability and progress.
