During Holy Week in 2026, domestic tourism showed positive figures. Ecuador recorded 743,600 trips and a total expenditure of USD 49.5 million, with a daily average of USD 16.5 million, reflecting a 3.6% increase in hotel occupancy
compared to 2025.The provinces with the highest occupancy were Santa Elena (72.4%), Galapagos (63.4%), Napo (56.5%), Pastaza (55.6%) and Tungurahua (52.3%). Santa Elena led tourism mobility with 145,100 trips, followed by Pichincha, Manabí, Azuay and Tungurahua.
