A lieutenant colonel was killed Thursday by an Islamic terrorist who opened fire at Old Dominion University in Virginia. According to multiple reports, Brandon Shah, a veteran of the Iraq war, was fatally shot by terrorist Mohamed Bailor Jalloh, a former National Guard soldier who was previously convicted of supporting ISIS.
Jalloh, a naturalized U.S. citizen from Sierra Leone, broke into a university classroom and shot Shah - the professor - several times, according to the New York Post. The terrorist had been released in early December 2024 by the Joe Biden government after having spent 10 years in prison for providing material support to a terrorist organization.
The accusation that led Jallon to jail details that the now deceased terrorist discussed plans to carry out a suicide attack with a person who believed he was an ISIS terrorist but who was actually a government informant, according to NBC4 Washington.

Shah enlisted in the Army in 2003 as an Aviation Operations Specialist and later obtained the rank of sergeant, according to the university where he worked. During his time of service, Shah served in the active-duty Army, the Army Reserve, and the Virginia Army National Guard
