David Barnea traveled to Doha hoping to resume dialogue with the terrorists
Mossad chief David Barnea met in Doha with Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani in an attempt to revive indirect negotiations with Hamas.
The meeting comes after the terrorist organization indicated its willingness to resume dialogue.
Senior Hamas official Taher al-Nunu stated that the talks would focus on "ways to stop the war in the Strip, allow the entry of aid, and end the suffering of the population in Gaza".
Meanwhile, a delegation from Hamas's leadership, headed by Khalil al-Hayya, arrived in Cairo to meet with senior Egyptian officials.

This is the first visit of its kind since Israel's security cabinet approved last week an operation to capture Gaza City.
However, an Israeli official warned that despite these moves, no concrete message has been received from Hamas pointing to an imminent agreement.
Israel doesn't rule out sending its own delegation, although it emphasizes that the decision has not yet been made.
The mediators, Qatar and Egypt, are working on a framework that includes the release of all hostages and an end to the war, without ruling out a partial formula that would cover only ten captives. However, this latter release option would not have Israeli approval.
Egyptian sources cited by Saudi channel Al Arabiya indicate that the proposal contemplates two phases: first, a prolonged ceasefire and the freezing of Hamas's military activities during a transitional period; in addition, the cessation of weapons manufacturing and smuggling in Gaza.
The plan would include the "symbolic exile" of some Hamas leaders and the temporary deployment of international and Arab forces.
The gradual withdrawal of Israel Defense Forces would be carried out under Arab and U.S. supervision, according to the leaked draft.
Despite the complexity of the proposal and the mediators' lack of optimism, the new round of contacts marks the first sign of diplomatic reactivation after weeks of stagnation.
