Internal Affairs agent of SSC-CDMX found dead
The official's body was found buried and shot in Tlalpan; another case that exposes criminal infiltration
Agent Abraham Ulises Sánchez Campos; assigned to Internal Affairs of the Citizen Security Secretariat of CDMX
Was found dead after five months missing. His body was located in a wooded area of the Tlalpan borough, buried, with gunshot wounds to the chest. He was a lawyer, only 32 years old.
Sánchez Campos disappeared on November 2, 2024, when he was heading from the Juárez neighborhood to Cuautla, Morelos. A few hours later, his car appeared in Huitzilac, with several bullet holes.Since then, not a single public advance in the investigation.
Buried as a message, not as an accident
The place where the body was found —a clandestine grave near kilometer 47 of the federal highway to Cuernavaca— leaves no doubt. It was an execution.
An admonition against those who, from within the system, try to curb police corruption.

The official was assigned to Internal Affairs, meaning, he investigated police officers.
And in this city, that can cost you your life.
Impunity, silence, and official cynicism
The capital's Prosecutor's Office, along with Morelos authorities, opened an investigation file. But they haven't informed if the crime is linked to his duties. They also haven't revealed if there are police officers under suspicion.
It's nothing new in our so-sodomized Mexican country, that drug trafficking, abuse of power, and corruption have been corrupting the judiciary from within for more than thirty years, with no hope of being cleaned by the government.

It's a problem that even if political parties rotate, nothing would change, if the drug cartel (regardless of the criminal group) wants you dead, it's very likely they will succeed. Being so brutal in applying terrorism against humanity, often taking revenge on the families of those who investigate them.
As in so many other cases, the CDMX government remains silent. Meanwhile, President Claudia Sheinbaum talks about transparency, the system buries its own agents.
CDMX is no longer safe even for its own police officers
When an internal investigator appears buried, the message is clear: crime has not only penetrated the streets… it has colonized the institutions. And it does so with protection, with complicities, and with the certainty that nobody will investigate thoroughly.
Morena promised to clean up the corporations.
But those who did want to do it, are dead today. And the culprits, as always, protected by official silence.
