The United States officially designated several areas on its border with Mexico as national defense areas, which implies strict restrictions for any unauthorized entry.
The warning from its embassy in Mexico was blunt: "Do not enter." And it is not rhetoric: anyone crossing without permission will face arrest, prosecution, and imprisonment.
These areas are mainly located in Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico. They are backed by Section 21 of the Internal Security Act of 1950. There, entering, driving a vehicle, or recording images is prohibited unless there is express authorization from the Department of Defense.
The Mexican government chooses silence
In the face of this unprecedented measure, the president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, did not issue any formal protest. There was no diplomatic meeting, no statement of rejection, not even a symbolic gesture. The priority, it seems, remains not to upset Washington... even if it means ceding sovereignty without resistance.

The 4T once again shows itself to be lukewarm and subordinate. It prefers to repeat empty speeches about migration as a human right, while organized crime advances on both sides of the border, without control or response.
The reality that Mexico doesn't want to face
Although the measures of the United States may seem extreme, they respond to a concrete crisis that Mexico has ignored: the border is broken. The migratory passage is controlled in many areas by mafias that extort, traffic, and murder with total impunity.
