In February 2024, during an interview on the Arriba Gente program on Canal 10, ultra-radical feminist Andrea Tuana stated that in Uruguay there were cases of children left at drug dealing points as "guarantee" for unpaid debts, linking this to sexual exploitation.
These malicious statements were not accompanied by any concrete evidence or prior formal complaints.
It was a gigantic and malicious lie. The extremist's false public accusation was intended to smear the government at that time, which was opposed to her party, Frente Amplio, and to alarm the population in order to justify her dark business dealings with her feminist NGO El Paso.
As a consequence of her lie, the Ministry of the Interior, where Tuana is an employee at the Police Hospital, suspended her for six months without pay.

Diego Sanjurjo, advisor to the ministry, criticized the lack of evidence and the failure to formally report such cases, considering the seriousness of the accusations.
Feminists demand impunity
Ultra-radical feminist organizations, such as the Uruguayan Network against Domestic and Sexual Violence, defended Tuana's false accusation, arguing that the sanction sought to "silence her activism and limit the freedom of expression of feminist voices."
What Tuana did was a despicable and malicious accusation. On a television channel and before thousands of viewers, she launched a huge lie knowing it was not true.
Tuana promotes violence against men
In 2022, the ultra-radical feminist caused controversy by claiming that women who kill their male partners in contexts of alleged "domestic violence" should not be penalized or sanctioned, arguing that these acts usually occur "in self-defense after years of abuse."
A direct call for physical violence and an incitement to hatred against all men.
