Among the many progressive absurdities promoted with public funds in Uruguay appears the "Menstrual Visibility Month."
On May 30 and 31 at the Espacio Feminista Las Pioneras, the Red de Activistas Menstruantes del Uruguay organized the ridiculous "menstrual visibility days". With money from all of us who are required to contribute, they attempted to make menstruation visible as a matter of "social justice".
Groups such as Inicia el Diálogo: ESI y Educación social para todes —a network that promotes the disastrous Comprehensive Sexual Education in our country— and Endouruguay, an organization that "educates about endometriosis to empower" and claims that "everyone is welcome in this space," including those who do not even have a uterus, participated.

After the tragicomic "menstruating days" ended, on their social media they declared: "This is just beginning. The days were only the start of a path we will continue to build together. Because talking about menstruation is talking about rights, health, education, equity, dignity. Because we're not going to stop until menstruation is made visible, respected, and taken into account in all public policies."

It should be remembered that, with the aim of promoting "collective management committed to the defense of human rights from a gender perspective," in July 2020, the IM handed over the management of the premises located on the Las Pioneras square grounds to six feminist groups.
The transfer of the place, known as Espacio Feminista Las Pioneras, was carried out under the administration of then ultra-progressive mayor Christian Di Candia, current Deputy Secretary of Housing and Territorial Planning.
