The president of PIT-CNT, the ultra-radical communist Marcelo Abdala, is proposing to the government led by Yamandú Orsi to increase taxes.
Under the pretext of wanting to "eradicate child poverty," they intend to punish the population with more taxes.
The same old lie
It's the same old lie. What Uruguayan unionists want is to crush Uruguayan society with taxes, so that business owners, merchants, and workers who work honestly every day pay more taxes.
Sede del PIT-CNT
The idea is for politicians and unionists to squander as they please.
Uruguay has had a gigantic tax burden for decades. The proposal from the union bureaucracy is more taxes, more levies, more fees, all of which punish taxpayers.
The lie is always the same. That the money collected will be used to "fight poverty," "eliminate children living in vulnerable situations," and other excuses.
What they really want is for the society that produces and works to keep paying taxes, so that the political class and union bureaucrats can squander it as they please.
They want to have in their hands the money taken from workers and business owners who produce, in order to engage in political patronage.
Their purpose is to place relatives, friends, neighbors, and lovers in public positions, and squander everyone's money. The same failed statist recipe as always.
Enormous tax burden
Meanwhile, as long as Uruguay continues to have a gigantic tax burden with a political class and a parasitic unionism that only knows how to increase taxes and then squander them, Uruguay will be unviable.
Acto sindical
Outdated socialism and impoverishing statism only produce more poverty, more misery, more unemployment, more hunger, and more decline.
The country moves forward by lowering taxes, encouraging production, and above all, boosting private activity.
Uruguay improves when private business owners and workers produce, work, and develop, with less state intervention and more freedom.
PIT-CNT is pure decline
PIT-CNT represents decline, backwardness, and the multiplication of a disastrous, ruinous, and impoverishing social and economic model.
PIT-CNT's idea offers no solution and only increases inequality, unemployment, low wages, and economic ruin.
PIT-CNT is pushing for Uruguay to establish a new tax supposedly to "address child poverty." A gigantic lie.
The idea that its leaders have publicly proposed is to create a new tax on "the richest 1% of the population," something that would allow the collection of an amount equivalent to 1% of the country's Gross Domestic Product (GDP), according to their statements.
The farce is clear. Initially, they propose a "tax on the rich," and then increase the tax burden on business owners and workers in the private sector.
The victims of the tax will be all Uruguayans who work honestly, who produce, and who want to get ahead.
The money collected will be stolen, squandered, and wasted by Orsi's government and by PIT-CNT's union bureaucrats.
Accomplices in the Sunca scam
It is worth remembering that this is the same PIT-CNT that is complicit in the massive scam at Sunca, the construction union where Communist Party unionists stole 1,200,000 dollars belonging to construction workers.
So far, in the second half of July, the union bureaucrats have not expressed anything in favor of the victims who were scammed.
