The Kirchnerist Homero Pettinato broke his silence after Hernán Bloquero, the man accused of harassing Sofía "La Reini" Gonet for years and threatening him with death, regained the ability to move outside the mental health center where he was hospitalized. During an interview with Lape Club Social (América TV), the comedian surprised everyone by supporting the judicial decision and stated that he does not consider it necessary to have permanent police protection.
The measure was authorized by María Fabiana Patiño, civil judge of Junín, after the professionals treating the man determined that he could continue his treatment on an outpatient basis.
What Homero Pettinato said about Hernán Bloquero's release
The host of OLGA shared that he learned about the situation through social media when he began receiving messages from people concerned about his safety. "I took it well, I found out through social media. Everyone was writing to me: 'He's coming for you'", he recounted.
"I am not afraid. The first time I reported him was to see how dangerous he is. I think later, seeing the situation, it seems to me that he was a person who was not measuring his consequences and needs treatment", he stated.
The complaint arose after several episodes of threats, including Bloquero appearing in front of the OLGA studio, where he made intimidating gestures directed at the comedian while he was working.
Why Pettinato supported the Justice's decision
The resolution allowed for a modification of Bloquero's hospitalization conditions, as he had been declared unaccountable and transferred to a mental health facility in Junín.
The comedian explained that he received information about the new regime from the city security authorities. "The City Police, who are always attentive and have helped me a lot, who are very close to me and Sofi, notified me that he has temporary releases and that he is undergoing treatment", he expressed.
He then made a statement about the consequences he expected from his complaint. "For me, it's fine. I also didn't expect him to be locked up for life for doing this to me", he affirmed.
Pettinato also set a condition for maintaining this stance. "As long as they can monitor that he is in treatment and that he is not dangerous to anyone, for me it's fine, it's good that he has been released", he assured.
What security measures will Homero Pettinato have
After the judicial resolution was made public, the city prosecutor's office reactivated preventive measures to protect those involved.
In the case of the comedian, the delivery of an emergency device was arranged again. "The City Police informed me that I have the panic button again", he confirmed.
