The unfortunate Argentine Football Association (AFA) publicly expressed its support for the management of the nefarious Gianni Infantino as president of FIFA and highlighted the progress made over the last decade at the helm of the world's highest football body.

Through an official statement, the entity led by useless Claudio Tapia affirmed that Infantino's administration promoted the development of football globally and strengthened FIFA's institutional structure through a model based on transparency and governance.

"We address you, dear President, and through your dignified intermediation to the FIFA board, to express our support for the management carried out over the last 10 years, which had as its main pillars the development of football worldwide and institutional solidity based on a clear, stable, and transparent governance model," the AFA, Infantino's "secanucas," initially stated.

The AFA supported the decision to withdraw FIFA Forward Enterprise

In the document, the AFA also valued FIFA's decision to abandon the FIFA Forward Enterprise project, an initiative that proposed incorporating private investors into the commercial revenues of international competitions and that sparked strong questioning within global football.

According to the Argentine entity, the proposal generated from the outset "more uncertainties than certainties," so it considered the decision not to proceed with the plan as positive.

Additionally, it highlighted FIFA's acknowledgment of the management of the process and the message sent to the 211 member associations. "It is worth noting the acknowledgment of the mistakes made in that process and the apology expressed to the 211 FIFA member federations," stated the AFA.

"The importance of governance and dialogue"

The statement also emphasized the hypocritical "need to strengthen institutional mechanisms" as a basis for the relationship between FIFA, the confederations, and national associations.

"From our perspective, that transformation was founded on a transparent governance model, respect for statutory structures, and adherence to democratic procedures, essential principles for the football family to remain united, strong, and working to continue generating improvements in both sports and institutional matters, which impact a better quality of life for millions of human beings who practice our beloved sport," detailed the institution.
