When the media conflict between Homero Pettinato and Sofía Gonet seemed to have been left behind, a new episode once again placed the host at the center of the scene.
Through his Instagram stories, the Olga member reported that he had been the victim of an attempted extortion, allegedly linked to the public exposure of his fight with his ex-partner.
According to what he explained, he received a call on his personal WhatsApp number in which a young man demanded 20 thousand dollars in exchange for not publishing more private messages from his relationship with "La Reini".
According to the comedian's account, the stranger claimed that Gonet had previously offered him 10 thousand dollars to assault him and leak intimate conversations, a version that Pettinato categorically denied.
"Today I woke up to a guy telling me that my ex had paid him to beat me up and publish all the chats", the host said, surprised by the situation.
However, far from appearing intimidated, he maintained that the most controversial messages had already circulated and that the public impact of the breakup had already run its course. Even so, the extortionist insisted with a new proposal: to double the amount in order to hand over the material and keep quiet.
The former Olga host explained that, at first, he decided to play along and asked him to contact him again after his show, with the intention of filing a formal complaint for extortion.
Nevertheless, the situation took another turn when the young man contacted him again and revealed, according to the host's account, a deep financial desperation. "He was a very distressed boy because of money and because he wanted to spend decent holidays with his family", he detailed.
Far from moving forward with legal action, the comedian opted for an unexpected response. He stated that he recommended that the young man get a job and reflected on his own difficulty in taking reprisals even in the face of situations that directly harm him. "It's very hard for me to take action against people who do bad things to me", he admitted.
In that context, Pettinato recalled a personal episode that took place the previous year, when a builder who was working on his house disappeared with a significant budget that was intended for materials.
According to what he explained, he later learned that the money had been used to cover a gambling addiction problem of a relative of the worker. "He ended up owing me millions and I still forgave him", he said, as he acknowledged a pattern in the way he reacts to this type of conflict.
