The forward agreed to a salary adjustment with the interim management of Ciclón, and Xeneize is already considering preparing an offer
Days before the start of preseason and in the middle of the transfer market, Boca still hasn't managed to secure its first signing, but it keeps the expectation of finalizing it in the coming hours. With the arrival of Marino Hinetroza on the verge of being completed, Alexis Cuello, a forward from San Lorenzo, appears on Xeneize's radar, and the board has already made moves to try to add him.
The 25-year-old footballer has just solved a contractual dispute with Ciclón. In recent hours, he agreed to the regularization of a debt of around 75 thousand dollars, a commitment assumed by the new transitional board. The formal notice submitted by the player included not only that amount, but also the non-payment of bonuses since January 2024 and 15% of the definitive purchase of his rights, which was formalized at the end of last year.
San Lorenzo regularizó la situación de Cuello
With that front settled, Boca decided to move forward and Marcelo "Chelo" Delgado now awaits the response from the leadership headed by Sergio Costantino, while the player's agent acts as a link between both institutions.
However, from the blaugrana side, the outlook doesn't seem so simple. Coach Damián Ayude has labeled Cuello as non-transferable, although behind closed doors they acknowledge that a significant offer could change the scenario.
In that regard, on Brandsen 805 they are confident they can sign him for an amount close to3.5 million dollars and thus add the first signing of the cycle before the squad returns to training.
Cuello's numbers at San Lorenzo
Since his arrival at Cuervo at the beginning of 2024, the former Almagro player has played just over 5,000 minutes spread across 73 matches, in which he scored 14 goals, provided 2 assists, received 11 yellow cards, and was sent off on two occasions for a second booking.
