Boca vs Auckland City: time, TV, line-ups, head-to-head record, and current form of each team
Xeneize will seek to thrash the Oceanic team to have a minimal chance of advancing to the round of 16
The last matchday of Group C of the Club World Cup for Boca will be against Auckland City from New Zealand. Although Xeneize doesn't depend on itself, because it needs a victory from Bayern Munich over Benfica, it will try to defeat the Oceania champion by as many goals as possible to have some hope of qualifying for the round of 16.
Boca comes into this match with two results that on paper seem positive, but could have been much better. On the first matchday, it let the victory slip away against Benfica after leading by two goals, scored by Merentiel and Battaglia, but near the end of the match, and despite having a man advantage, the Portuguese club managed to equalize thanks to a header from Nicolás Otamendi.

With the need to earn points, on the second matchday it faced Bayern Munich, a favorite to win the group and the tournament. At first, it seemed like it would be a formality for the German team, quickly taking a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute with a goal from Kane, but Xeneize replied in the second half with a goal from Merentiel in the 66th minute. Despite hoping to secure a draw, the Argentine club could not withstand the Bavarians' offensive power, who scored the 2-1 near the end thanks to a goal from Olise.

Meanwhile, Auckland City comes into this match with two heavy defeats against Bayern and Benfica. On the first matchday against the multi-champion German team, the New Zealand team suffered a historic 10-0 thrashing. Although on the second matchday they showed a bit more resistance against the Portuguese team, managing to keep a clean sheet for almost the entire first half, in the second half they could not hold on any longer, ending with a 6-0 defeat.

Boca's record against Oceania teams and Auckland's record against Argentine teams
This will be the first meeting between the two, but both have already had some encounters with teams from the countries they represent.
Xeneize has only one previous, somewhat bitter, experience with an Oceania team. In 2010, during its friendly tour, the club from La Ribera faced Wellington Phoenix in New Zealand, a match that surprisingly it lost 2-1, with goals from Macallister and Durante for the home side, and another from Durante (own goal) for the visitors.

Meanwhile, this will be Auckland's second match against an Argentine team. The first time was against San Lorenzo in the 2014 Club World Cup semifinals, where it forced extra time, although it lost 2-1, with goals from Barrientos and Matos for Cuervo, and Ángel Berlanga for the Oceania team. In that edition of the world tournament, they finished third after defeating Cruz Azul on penalties, following a 1-1 draw in regulation time.
