A violent head-on collision between two motorcycles that occurred on Tuesday night shook Monte Chingolo, in the district of Lanús. The crash ended with a young man dead and two other people hospitalized in serious condition.
The sequence was captured by a security camera and is being analyzed by the courts. The footage shows the brutality of the impact and the immediate fire in the vehicles.

The impact that triggered a tragedy
The accident occurred at around 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of Donato Álvarez Avenue and Cazón Street. One of the motorcycles moved toward the center of the roadway and collided head-on with another that was traveling in the opposite direction.
After the crash, there was a flash of fire and both motorcycles caught fire. One of the riders was thrown several meters and ended up lying on the asphalt.
The fire and the desperate rescue
Neighbors who witnessed the scene acted immediately. One of them managed to drag the motorcyclist who had been thrown in order to move him away from the flames.
Despite the attempts to help him, the young man died from his severe injuries. Minutes later, the neighbors assisted the other two occupants, a couple who were traveling on the second motorcycle and were engulfed in flames.
Buckets of water and tension until the ambulance arrived
While they waited for emergency services, the witnesses threw buckets of water to put out the flames. The scene was extremely tense. Medical personnel transported the injured to Evita Hospital, where they remain hospitalized.
The condition of the injured and the investigation
The young woman, identified as Abigail, was admitted to intensive care, while her partner, Alex, remains in critical condition at the same medical facility. The deceased motorcyclist has not yet been identified. The courts are investigating the causes of the crash.
