The city of La Calera reaffirms its transformation toward efficient management focused on developing major cultural events for the region. Parque Icardi will be the venue for the sixth National Lomito Festival on February 20 and 21. This initiative seeks to strengthen the town's entrepreneurial profile through public-private cooperation to promote commerce in the city.
Mayor Fernando Rambaldi is promoting a growth model based on market freedom and the strengthening of service providers. Through the so-called "Lomito Route," the municipality is coordinating efforts so that the private sector will be the true engine of the local economy. "It's not just a municipal event, but a joint effort with the private sector that seeks to position La Calera as a city where people can enjoy the best lomito throughout the entire year."
The technical organization is in its final phase, prioritizing public order through a rigorous logistics and security operation. A command unit made up of police forces, firefighters, and health departments will guarantee peace of mind for the thousands of families that will attend the grounds. This time, the participation of more than 40 food trucks and numerous fair vendors that will offer their products to all visitors is expected. The infrastructure will feature improvements in lighting and sound along with the creation of a preferential space exclusively for about 200 people. These technical innovations make it possible to raise the quality standard and attract an increasingly diverse audience from across Córdoba Province.
The Friday the 20th program will feature headlining performances by Valentina Márquez, the group DesaKTa2, and renowned folk artist Pachi Herrera. During the second day, Saturday the 21st, Jorge Rojas, Magui Olave, and the groups La Callejera and the band Discman will take to the main stage. This varied selection of musical genres seeks to guarantee a comprehensive show that will meet the expectations of all attendees at the park.
Local authorities expect to far exceed the record figure of 50,000 attendees reached during the successful edition of the previous summer season.
