Fernando Rambaldi led in La Calera an unprecedented action to combat disturbing noise, with the destruction of exhaust pipes seized in urban inspections. The procedure was recorded in an official video that shows machinery crushing the devices and municipal teams supervising each stage of the process. The measure aims to restore peace and quiet to the most affected neighborhoods and to consolidate a sustained policy of noise control in the city.
The initiative is supported by an existing ordinance that authorizes the definitive disabling of modified exhausts that exceed permitted acoustic limits. In the images, viewers can see how the pipes are crushed until they become unusable, preventing their resale or reuse in other vehicles. "Each pipe that we break here today is one more hour of peace and rest for residents who want to work, who want to make progress, and who want to do things right," Rambaldi stated.
Rambaldi emphasized that the action is not symbolic but concrete, with immediate results in the areas where noise complaints are concentrated. The measure complies with the provisions of Ordinance 01/CD/25, in order to eliminate a chronic scourge that La Calera had, which was disturbing noise. The message seeks to discourage practices that disrupt everyday life and to promote more responsible traffic.
