La Calera is living decisive hours in its fight for freedom of movement and relief from the economic burden on its families. The Deliberative Council will address this Thursday at 10:00 a.m. an ordinance that seeks to establish the elimination of the toll as a municipal state policy. The initiative has the full support of Mayor Fernando Rambaldi, who is actively supporting the cause to remove this obstacle to work.
The call seeks to unite all sectors without distinction of political flags under a common cause that affects citizens' pockets. According to the organizers, the toll on Avenida Ejército Argentino unjustifiably makes essential trips more expensive in order to go to the doctor or visit relatives. Taking children to school has become an excessive cost that Rambaldi's administration intends to eradicate in order to defend the residents.
The draft ordinance aims to establish an institutional and respectful claim in order to protect the daily life of La Calera's residents. The self-convened residents of the working group "No to the Toll!" will gather in front of the legislative building in order to press for a favorable resolution. The intention is to take one more step after having achieved concrete progress in civil coordination during recent months.
Civil unity in the face of the weight of illegal booths
Civic presence is considered essential so that the message to higher authorities will be forceful and unified. The organizers emphasize that this is not a partisan act, but rather a decision that impacts each family's economy.
The working group "No to the Toll!" set the meeting for 10:15 a.m. at the door of the chamber in order to accompany the councilors' vote. The objective is to eliminate these booths that they consider illegal and that hinder the development of the area. The mobilization aims to demonstrate that when the people provide support, the strength of municipal institutions multiplies in the face of state regulatory entities.
