After his 15th place finish in the Las Vegas Grand Prix, Franco Colapinto is now focusing all his attention on the Qatar Grand Prix, the penultimate stop on the calendar and the setting for the last Sprint weekend of the season. The Argentine driver for Alpine arrived in Doha with the mission to recover quickly and capitalize on every available session.
In the lead-up, Colapinto emphasized that Losail's particular conditions will be decisive: "The different conditions in Qatar will be important throughout the weekend, especially because the track is also high-speed. In addition, it's the last Sprint event of the season, so it's important for us to have a good first practice and be ready right away", the Argentine explained.
The Buenos Aires native arrives in the Middle East after a Las Vegas GP full of setbacks, marked by cold, rain, and a collision in the opening corner that complicated his strategy from the start. "The weekend in Las Vegas was a challenge for me. The conditions were interesting throughout the weekend, with low temperatures and rain during some sessions. This made driving quite a challenge, especially in qualifying, where we managed to reach Q2 in the rain and with very little grip", he recalled.

That hit to the rear of the car at the start of the race ended up forcing him to fight from behind: "My race was compromised, it was difficult to recover. There was still a lot to learn and we'll prepare a report before Qatar to see how to make the most of the last two rounds", he added.
With just two races ahead and a sprint format that demands absolute precision from Friday, Colapinto will seek in Qatar to close the season with the momentum he couldn't find in Nevada.
