Córdoba: woman confronted a thief who tried to steal her motorcycle in broad daylight

A resident of the Los Robles neighborhood suffered an attempted robbery while she was leaving for work. The incident occurred this Friday at 8 a.m. Everything was captured by the neighborhood's security cameras.

The thief was hooded and approached with the intention of stealing her motorcycle. The woman reacted firmly and prevented the robbery after a brief struggle. Finally, the criminal fled the scene thanks to the intervention of a third party.

The footage shows the level of exposure that residents face. This time, the victim managed to prevent the robbery, but the scene could have ended in tragedy. The video quickly went viral among neighborhood groups and on social media.

"We live surrounded by shantytowns and nobody does anything"

The woman's husband described the situation in an interview with El Doce, a local media outlet. He stated that the area is avoided even by taxis and remises. "We live under siege," he reported with frustration.

The family lives at the corner of Bengolea and Pedro Castañeda, in an area where other criminal incidents have already been reported. "Most of the criminals are minors," he added, referring to the frequent use of minors to evade criminal responsibility.

Residents are demanding a greater police presence in Los Robles. The lack of constant patrols and poor nighttime lighting worsen the situation. On social media, many users called for concrete action from the Municipality and the Province.

The case reopens the debate on criminal recidivism in Córdoba. Light sentences and immediate release from custody weaken criminal punishment. The application of the Zaffaroni doctrine leaves citizens unprotected.
