Córdoba: dairy brands Tonadita and Sancor resume butter production in Devoto
The agreement between both companies reactivates a Córdoba-based plant affected by the crisis and will generate exclusive joint production
A well-known brand from the interior, Tonadita, reached an agreement with the cooperative Sancor, dairy company from Córdoba to reactivate butter production in Devoto.
The agreement stipulates that Tonadita will provide dairy fat and supplies, while Sancor will manufacture and market the product at its local plant.
The joint production strategy includes marketing under the Tonadita label for its network and under the Sancor label for the rest of the market.

Scope and limitations of the agreement
The agreement was signed within the framework of the restructuring process that Sancor has been undergoing for years due to its financial crisis. The tasks will be divided: Tonadita will provide the raw material, while Sancor will be responsible for production and packaging. The agreement doesn't include other dairy categories such as Mendicrim or spreadable cheeses, and is limited solely to butter production.
Both brands will retain their autonomy in distribution and sales, although they will share production lines in Devoto. Tonadita will sell the butter in areas where it has a presence, while Sancor will market it through its traditional channel. In areas where Sancor doesn't have coverage, Tonadita will handle logistics with its own distributors, according to reports.

Productive impact and expectations for the reactivation of the Córdoba plant
The factory located in Devoto was inactive, but its technical equipment and specialized personnel remained in good condition. Thanks to this agreement, a gradual reactivation is expected that could open new job opportunities in the region. The agreement represents a symbolic recovery for a historic plant within the national dairy industry.
Sancor remains in preventive bankruptcy proceedings and this type of alliance allows it to sustain operations without making new investments. Meanwhile, Tonadita seeks to consolidate its national positioning by expanding its presence through recognized brands. Both parties emphasized that this understanding is the result of several months of negotiations and that they hope to expand it in the future.
