The Córdoba Civil Engineers Association, together with the provincial Ministry of Infrastructure, led the Second Conference on Artificial Intelligence. The event, which was free and open to the public, took place on October 14 and 15 in the EPEC auditorium, at La Tablada 350. The initiative brought together academic and technological leaders to discuss the scope of AI in engineering, architecture, and public management.
During the first day, new technological trends and applications of artificial neural networks were addressed. Experts such as Francisco Tamarit, Sergio Manes, and Rodrigo Fábrega gave presentations, analyzing the potential of AI in urban and educational planning. In addition, Laura Díaz Dávila, from UNC, highlighted the role of scientific knowledge as the foundation for an ethical and sustainable use of these tools.
The second day, meanwhile, focused on the integration of AI with education and organizational management. Legislator Leonardo Limia, engineer Marcelo Rabozzi, and representatives from Holcim and Uvitec participated. All agreed that intelligent automation demands new human skills and a review of existing regulatory and professional frameworks.
