
Córdoba reports 9 fatalities from traffic accidents in just one weekend
Among the affected localities are Villa María, Río Cuarto, Laboulaye, James Craik, and Córdoba capital
The province of Córdoba ended the weekend with a tragic toll: nine people died in various traffic accidents. The figure became known after the death of a 73-year-old man was confirmed in Laguna Larga. The incident adds to a series of accidents recorded since Friday night.
The most recent fatality was found this Sunday on 820 Tucumán Street, next to his motorcycle. The emergency service confirmed his death at the scene. The police are investigating the causes of the accident and are not ruling out any hypotheses.
Among the most serious cases is the collision between trucks in Laboulaye. One of the drivers died instantly and the other passed away later at the hospital.

INCIDENTS IN DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE PROVINCE
In Córdoba capital, two deaths from motorcycle accidents occurred. One of the motorcyclists died in Los Boulevares neighborhood on Friday night. The other died on Sunday after colliding with a pickup truck in Alberdi neighborhood.
In Villa Allende, another motorcyclist died on Friday night after crashing into a Volkswagen Taos pickup truck. The impact occurred in an urban area and the victim died at the scene.
The city of Villa María was also affected by the traffic tragedy. A 35-year-old woman, who was riding as a passenger on a motorcycle, lost her life on Friday.

ROLLOVERS, COLLISIONS, AND CONSTERNATION IN THE INTERIOR
In James Craik, a 44-year-old man died when his Chevrolet Aveo rolled over during the early hours of Saturday. The car was completely destroyed by the impact.
In Río Cuarto, a 22-year-old man died after a collision between a pickup truck and a car. The accident, which occurred on Saturday, left the local community in shock.

The string of deaths reignites the debate on road safety. Most of the victims were motorcyclists or were traveling in private vehicles.
Official data reinforces the concern. Córdoba has one of the highest rates of fatal accidentsin the country, especially in urban areas.
