Córdoba: who is the young man who went into the freezing water during heavy snow
A young man decided to enter a river in the Altas Cumbres. What is the Wim Hof method?
"I knew it was going to snow, so I went specifically to get into the water. I've been doing it for a long time; I even traveled to Ushuaia to dive into a frozen lake," he said, leaving no doubt.
This is Alexander Reyna, the young man who, during a polar cold wave in Córdoba, decided to get into a river in the Altas Cumbres.

In the middle of a snowfall, Reyna took off his clothes and immersed himself in the icy waters.
The young man referred to the Wim Hof Method, an exercise that combines breathing techniques, gradual exposure to cold, and commitment to improve health and well-being, including the ability to adapt to cold and strengthen the immune system.

"It's a personal therapy. I've always been very afraid of water, even in summer. This started as a way to overcome that fear," he told Cadena 3.
"The first minute is the worst; your mind screams at you 'get out, get out.' But with breathing and concentration, you manage to calm down and enter a state of meditation. It's like talking to myself outside my comfort zone," he added.
Polar cold wave in Córdoba
Like much of the country, Córdoba is experiencing an extreme cold wave that caused minimum temperatures to drop as low as -15 °C (5 °F) in some areas of the province.
Even the El Salto del Tigre waterfall froze, on the border between Córdoba and San Luis, in the Sierra Comechingona.

This led to the suspension of school attendance on Monday and Tuesday by order of the Córdoba Ministry of Education.
