Ghost of Yōtei and Clair Obscur lead the nominations and emerge as favorites for GOTY

The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences released the full list of nominees for the DICE Awards 2026. In total, 65 video games will compete in 23 categories to determine the best of 2025.
The big news is the shared lead of Ghost of Yōtei and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which top the race with eight nominations each.

The most anticipated category, Game of the Year, arrives with surprises. The inclusion of Blue Prince and the absence of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II from the top prize did not go unnoticed.

Behind the two major leaders, several games appear with multiple mentions. Dispatch and ARC Raiders earned six nominations each.

In areas such as art direction, animation, music, and sound, Clair Obscur and Ghost of Yōtei once again emerge as leading contenders. Both appear in almost all the key creative categories.
Other recurring names are The Midnight Walk, South of Midnight, and Monster Hunter Wilds, which managed to stand out in specific areas.

The RPG of the Year category shows a very tight contest, with titles such as Clair Obscur, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, and The Outer Worlds 2.

The DICE Awards 2026 gala will be held on Thursday, February 12 in Las Vegas. The ceremony will be broadcast live on YouTube. The event will be hosted by Greg Miller and Stella Chung, as officially reported by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences.
