Trump shared the image through Truth Social minutes before a press conference
The President of the United States, Donald Trump, released this Saturday the first image of the capture of the narco-terrorist dictator Nicolás Maduro, minutes before giving a press conference, and confirmed that the operation was carried out through a military incursion into Venezuelan territory.
The announcement was made through Truth Social, the social network habitually used by the U.S. President to communicate decisions with high political and military impact.
According to information provided by Trump himself, the operation included a large-scale airstrike carried out by U.S. forces. The U.S. President explained that the action concluded with the capture of Maduro and his subsequent transfer out of Venezuela, together with his wife. The publication of the image took place moments before his public appearance before the press, which increased the international impact of the announcement.

In one of the messages released, Trump stated: “The United States has successfully carried out a large-scale attack against Venezuela and its leader, President Nicolás Maduro, who was captured and transported by plane, together with his wife, out of the country”.
Hours earlier, the head of the White House had already anticipated the development of the operation through another post on the same social network. In that first message, Trump offered a broader description of the special military operation and of the actors involved in the action.
“The United States of America has successfully carried out a large-scale attack against Venezuela and its leader, President Nicolás Maduro, who has been captured and transported out of the country together with his wife. This operation was carried out jointly with U.S. law enforcement. Further details will be provided soon”, Trump announced earlier on Truth Social.

The announcement caused an immediate international impact, both because of the scope of the operation and because of the confirmation that the Venezuelan dictator was transferred out of his country.
