Dune: Part 3 already has an official title and promises an epic return in IMAX

Denis Villeneuve returns behind the camera to expand the universe of Dune with a third installment that has already confirmed its official name.

Warner Bros. and Legendary are making a strong bet on the science fiction saga and promise a new visual experience with scenes shot in IMAX format.

The title was confirmed on platforms such as Rentrak, leaving behind rumors that pointed to "Dune Messiah."

Despite this, the story will continue the narrative arc of Paul Atreides, now transformed into Muad'Dib, in the midst of a power struggle and prophetic conflicts.

Villeneuve clarifies that this is not the end of a trilogy

The Canadian director explained that the first two installments form a diptych that adapts the first book.

This third part marks, in his words, "the beginning of something new," with its own identity within Frank Herbert's saga.

Shooting in IMAX and first official image

Dune: Part 3 has already begun production and will feature scenes filmed with IMAX cameras, although not in their entirety.

Villeneuve is once again aiming for an immersive experience, although not as extreme as Nolan's with Odyssey.
