Enzo Pérez's departure from River has once again placed him at the center of the transfer market. After the conversation in which Marcelo Gallardo informed him that he would not be considered, just like other historic figures in the squad, the midfielder from Mendoza began to evaluate his next destination, and among the interested clubs, a familiar name resurfaced: Nacional de Montevideo.
El Bolso had already tried to sign him at the end of 2023, during Martín Demichelis's tenure, when Pérez left Núñez for the first time. Back then, he chose to return to Estudiantes de La Plata. Now, with his second farewell to Millonario and a recent title in Uruguay, Nacional is making another attempt, and the possibility of playing in the Copa Libertadores could become a key incentive for the 39-year-old player.

Meanwhile, Estudiantes also emerges as an alternative. Although there is still no formal negotiation, the emotional bond between Pincha and Pérez, who in his brief last stint won the Copa de la Liga and the Trofeo de Campeones, makes a return sound plausible. His departure from La Plata occurred just one year after his arrival, motivated by his return to River already under Gallardo's leadership.
