The Lion of the Empire can't play at Mario Kempes because of a concert
Estudiantes de Río Cuarto, one of the recently promoted clubs and the fourth team from Córdoba to take part in the 2026 Professional League, could move its home venue.
It is known that its stadium doesn't have a large capacity, so in order to be the home side against River, the León is considering playing in another stadium.
The chosen venue was the Kempes Stadium in Córdoba, but on March 22, when matchday 12 is played, it is booked for a Tini Stoessel concert.
For that reason, the venue would be La Pedrera, in San Luis. It is a stadium that is closer to Río Cuarto than the capital of Córdoba, since Villa Mercedes is 126 kilometers (78.3 miles) away.
Regarding tickets, there would be about 10,000 seats for Estudiantes and around 15,000 for River, which would allow the Núñez team to play practically with a majority of supporters, even as the away side.
