Formula 1: In Bahrain, Piastri was unstoppable and Alpine scored their first points.
The McLaren driver won the fourth race of the year without much difficulty, and the French team earned 6 points thanks to Gasly's 7th place finish
The Australian Oscar Piastri, McLaren driver, achieved victory at the Bahrain Grand Prix, and the English team continues to perform well in the Formula 1 World Championship. The British George Russell, from Mercedes, and Lando Norris, Piastri's teammate and championship leader, completed the podium.

Tire wear was the main protagonist of the race. Before completing ten laps, several drivers had already pitted to change from soft to medium tires, and there were many position changes. The team that suffered the most from this situation was Red Bull, which had slower than usual pit stops, affecting Max Verstappen, reigning champion and recent winner in Japan, who finished in sixth place.
Beyond that, the decisive moment of the GP occurred on lap 34, when Carlos Sainz, Williams driver, slightly collided with Yuki Tsunoda (Red Bull), leaving debris from his car on the track and causing the safety car to enter for two laps, which halted Verstappen's comeback.
With the world champion out of contention, McLaren maintained control of the competition throughout the day, with an outstanding performance by Piastri, who secured the victory, his second of the season after Shanghai.

His teammate Norris, on the other hand, started an erratic Sunday by being penalized for a false start. Despite that, he remained competitive and, after several attempts, managed to overtake Charles Leclerc (Ferrari), who couldn't resist due to tire wear. Although he tried to overtake Russell, who showed a decline in performance due to car issues, it wasn't enough, and he secured third place.
Meanwhile, the top 10 positions were completed by: Leclerc, Hamilton (Driver of the Day: climbed from 9th to 5th), Verstappen, Gasly, Ocon, Tsunoda, and Bearman.

Alpine and its first points
The teammates of Argentine Franco Colapinto, who wasn't present as Alpine's reserve driver, completed the best performance of the French team so far this season. Pierre Gasly, the team's main figure, finished seventh after Verstappen overtook him on the last lap and scored the team's first 6 points in 2025. Meanwhile, the Australian Jack Doohan, the main rival of the Pilar native, finished 14th.
